Wishin' and Hopin' and Thinkin' and Prayin'...
This sketch was done while I had a little free time in between running errands. I used an image of the rooftop of Notre-Dame de Paris as a reference. I like this gargoyle because he looks more like he’s bored and in deep thought rather than a ferocious creature protecting the cathedral. I think every time I flip back to this particular page of my sketchbook the Dusty Springfield song Wishin and Hopin’ will pop into my head. If you decide to Google it, be advised: That song will most likely get stuck in your head too!
